I'm a mom of eight who has always been interested in the healing properties of plant based products and essential oils. I am now formally training to become a certified aromatherapist.
After becoming tired of buying products with fillers, chemicals, and ingredients that are not beneficial, I started making my own natural soaps, salves, perfumes, balms, serums etc for my family and friends. Someone asked me if I'd be interested in selling my products at a local store and so Balmed began.
As an aromatherapist in training I strive to create beauty products that are not only beneficial for your skin but ones that can provide aromatherapeutic benefits while creating a complimentary aesthetic to your bathroom.
I love, love, love, everything about creating my own products, from finding and researching about the finest ingredients, to designing formulas and finding natural, non toxic alternatives to many synthetics found in beauty products. Since many of our products hang out on people's counters somewhere, I try to create simple, elegant packaging often with clear glass containers to display the beauty of the botanicals and create a harmonious aesthetic display. Each ingredient serves a beneficial purpose. No fillers ever!

Balmed products are made from the finest ingredients nature has to offer. You won't find any unnecessary fillers in any products. Most ingredients are plant based and food grade quality. Each ingredient is thoughtfully added for the benefits it has to offer. What you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it. Your skin is your largest organ, honor it.
ESSENTIAL OILS
Essential oils are a liquid distilled from the leaves, stems, flowers, barks, roots or other plant elements. They are not true oils, but because of how they separated from water when distilled they became referred to as an oil.
Essential oils contain the true essence of the plant it was derived from. They are highly concentrated and a little goes a long way. The purest essential oils are far more powerful than the botanical from which they were extracted.
Our products contain pure essential oils and are combined with other beneficial ingredients from nature to help you maximize your beauty in a healthy way. All of our oils are either steam distilled or cold pressed to ensure quality.
Some of our most used ingredients:
Avocado oil:
Filled with vitamins E and C to help reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Apricot oil:
Rich in essential fat and ty acids it has excellent moisturizing properties for prematurely aged, dry or irritated skin.
Beeswax:
Helps retain moisture reduce dryness and unlike petroleum it wont clog pores.
Castor seed oil:
Contains omega 3 and 9 fatty acids. and penetrates deep into the skin to combat dryness.
Coconut oil:
The fatty acids in coconut oil make it a perfect emollient for lips and skin to keep them hydrated and soft.
Elderberry extract :
With anti-aging and free-radical fighting properties, the elderberries keep your skin radiant and youthful for a long period.
Essential oils:
Highly concentrated, essential oils carry benefical attributes for skin health and for armoatherpeutic purposes.
Safflower oil: High in linoleic acid safflower oil is a perfect choice for skin prone to acne and clogged pores.
Shea Butter:
The high concentrations of naturally occurring vitamin A, E and C make it an ideal ingredient choice to remedy dry skin and lock in moisture.
