5 out of 5 starsThese are really beautiful earrings. The artist/owner did a remarkable job on them. He also let me know when they shipped from Poland and the me a tracking number. They arrived in a week! These are a Christmas gift for my daughter and I know she’ll be thrilled with them. I’d love to buy from him again.

5 out of 5 starsExquisite pendant! For my wife, she loves it! The amber is really beautiful and interesting and quite lively. The silverwork is lovely and graceful and shows off the amber perfectly. The pendant is even more beautiful than the photos can show. Very fast shipping, arrived quickly.

Dear Mr. Engelking, Thank you very much for your kind words, and I am very happy that the pendant met your expectations. The amber is indeed beautiful. For many years, I have still been amazed by each new one. Yesterday, I was sanding and polishing a new batch, and I was amazed by the beauty I discovered.

Instrukcje obsługi
Baltic amber is the most highly valued variety of amber. It should be cared for like any other jewelry. It is fragile (2-3 on the Mohs hardness scale), so caution should be exercised. Store away from sunlight, preferably in a cellophane bag. Avoid using oily creams. It can be polished with a cloth by rubbing. Silver tarnishes (oxidizes) over time, changing its shade. To restore its original shine, polish it with a cloth using special paste (some toothpaste has similar properties). However, I recommend entrusting the jewelry to professionals for restoration.
What exactly is Baltic amber?
Baltic amber is nothing but resin from trees that has been lying in the sea or soil for about 40 million years. Such old resin is no longer sticky but hard, yet also fragile (2-3 on the Mohs scale), so it should be protected from impacts.
Amber may contain plant or animal remains, but this is rare, and in 99% of cases, they are millimeter-sized insects. Baltic amber may contain microcracks inside that resemble fish scales. These are small cracks that can be obtained by heating the amber in special devices. It looks very impressive, although it is not the original form.
Sometimes amber contains a lot of soil, which makes it dark in color and porous in structure. Such amber is much cheaper.
