Between Idea and Form
Art has always been a meaningful part of my life, I think even before I knew how to call it by name.
The need to express creativity, whether through play, drawing, or using words in a unique and playful way, was always there.
My background in drawing, my involvement in art and music, and my love for nature and the living world all found a meeting point in jewelry.
The ability to take an idea, give it form, and then bring it to life in three dimensions captured me at a young age, and I never wanted to let go.
I studied in a family business, at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, and took part in workshops abroad and a student exchange program in Italy. All of this was part of an ongoing journey, like life itself, and a search for my own language and the intention behind my work.
Jewelry, like other art forms, carries a kind of romantic solitude.
It is you and the material, and like any intimate encounter, sometimes there is struggle and sometimes there is flow. You exist somewhere in between.
Into this experience comes another element, the client.
A person who comes with a need, an idea, a thought, a lost piece of jewelry, or something small that remains as a memory of someone dear.
And in that moment, the work of jewelry takes on another meaning.
It is no longer only self expression through material, it becomes a connection with people.
It is a shared secret in marriage proposals, the realization of dreams, the preservation of nostalgic moments.
It is a connection to the human material, not only to the raw material.
It is a great honor for me to be a small part of these beautiful moments.
