Writer Turned Artist
Artist, author, former antique dealer, dog hoarder. A crazy widow who lives with four rescue dogs. I've been around here a long time, mostly buying. This year I started painting again and sell my work locally in Monroe, Georgia at the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts (where I am on the board of directors as Literary Arts Chair) and at Hodge Podge Antiques. In January my butterfly girl painting won first place in the members show at the art center much to my surprise and joy. I paint every day and along the way, my friends asked for cats. You know how one cat leads to another! I paint as "The Cat's Meow Art Studio" and write as "Writer With Dogs". Shhh, don't tell my dogs about the cats. They would not approve.
I treat my customers as I want to be treated and keep it fun. There's too much drama in the world to let it flow over to what makes me happy. I hope you will enjoy looking at my work and one day find a place in your home for one. If my antique dealer surfaces again, look for small treasures from my stash of wonderful things.
