I'm a self-taught hand lettering artist with a love of pretty events and cheesy quotes!

​What started off as a way to keep myself busy when I first moved from Montreal to New Jersey after getting married, turned into a passion that I decided to grow into a business.

​Being at home with my hilarious husband, John, and silly Boston Terrier doggo, Maya, is my happy place. I have a deep love affair with anything cheesy, especially mac and cheese, I can probably recite every single line from every single episode of Friends, I cry just watching the previews for This Is Us, I’m one of the few people who loves coffee and tea equally, I'm kind of obsessed with my plant babies, and I’m a pen and notebook hoarder. I fell in love with hand lettering because I found it to be the perfect way to connect with people by making pretty and personalized things to decorate homes and events, and to give as meaningful gifts.

While I really enjoy giving you guys a glimpse into my own personal style with the products I sell on my Etsy shop, I absolutely love working on custom orders for your homes and events. I make everything from seasonal décor like Christmas ornaments, to wooden signs and canvases for nurseries, to all things weddings, like invitations, place cards, table numbers, bridal party gifts, bachelorette party t-shirts, and everything in between.

​I also include my love of doodles and little drawings into my designs with floral and botanical line drawings.

Oh! In case you were wondering, the name "Bashful" actually came from the idea that taking the time to celebrate all the special moments is what makes life exciting...because life should always be bashful!
