Some of you may have noticed that I have added vintage buttons and some of my very own fabric that I designed way back when, among other fabric and “things”. I still plan to get into my vintage quilts and blocks that I have saved over the years. It's been so much fun going through my memories! I finally realized that I would never, ever be able to use all the things I have collected over the years. And there’s A LOT!

I am still designing both hand embroidery and machine embroidery and applique...and you get the idea! I LOVE "playing" with fabric and thread. It is such a passion of mine and the ideas just keep rolling. I want to thank each of you for visiting my shop and supporting my small business. It means the world to me.

BasketCaseNeedlework offers unique and whimsical handmade designs to hand embroider and now machine embroidery.

Welcome to my shop!

I've been designing embroidery pattern for most of my life, beginning with my own small quilt shop I opened in Grapevine, Texas in 1993.

What began as stitching pieces for my own shop soon turned into something more. Customers started requesting patterns for the items I made, and before long I was designing small monthly hand embroidery patterns—simple, approachable designs that remain close to my heart today.

From there, my work expanded into wholesale pattern design, and I became known for my primitive-style embroidery patterns. My collections were carried in quilt shops across the country and internationally, with my Angels of the Month series becoming a beloved favorite among stitchers.

After taking a break for a while, I found my way back to designing—it’s always been a part of who I am. Now, I create both hand and machine embroidery patterns, blending years of experience with a lasting passion for thoughtful details and meaningful designs.

Every pattern in my shop is made with care, hoping to bring a touch of calm, creativity, and joy to your stitching time. Each one is crafted with plenty of love.
