If you're new to beading, it's a good idea to begin with the longest or widest row closest to the center of your project. You can choose to leave a long tail if you plan on using the same thread to stitch the opposite side of the pattern.

Alternatively, some prefer starting at the top or bottom edge - it's entirely up to your preference! There is no right or wrong way to bead, so do what works best for you.

If you want to see the design and format of my patterns and practice the craft before buying, please check out the link below. Most of my designs are created on a peyote chart, but they can be rotated to weave as brick stitch (which I prefer for irregularly shaped beadwork).

1. My designs look cuter on a peyote graph.
2. A peyote graph can be easily rotated to weave as brick stitch, which I prefer for irregular shapes.
3. Gravity! When working on a brick stitch graph, beads are arranged horizontally, and the sides may fold together like a book cover, distorting your hard work. The fold can still happen for designs made on peyote charts that are turned sideways to weave as brick stitch. However, when you rotate the finished piece back to its upright position, gravity will help your beadwork lie flat. Looser thread tension will result in silkier pieces.

Unfortunately, I am not accepting custom pattern requests at the moment.

You may encounter tutorials or reproductions of my patterns offered elsewhere, but please note that these are made without my permission. Mass or wholesale copies of my designs are never allowed. If you have any questions about the originality of my work, I would be happy to discuss it with you.
