From Planning a Wedding to Small Business Owner
When I was planning my wedding in 2005 I couldn't find a florist willing or available to work on my wedding day - new year's eve. So I started looking for alternatives for my bouquets and discovered crystal bouquets. A little internet searching helped me to find instructions on how to make my own bouquets with wire and beads. A new hobby was started! Funnily enough, my mother persisted and found lovely florists who did an amazing job of dressing our church for the wedding and incorporated the leftover "stems" that I had created to make crystal and thistle adorned halos for my flower girls.

Anyway, the bouquet project graduated to include the boutonnieres and corsages and miniature tussie mussies for my flower girls to carry, too. That graduated to include making jewelry for my bridesmaids and other ladies in our wedding party. From there the jewelry bug was firmly planted as a fun hobby. It wasn't too long as a hobbyist that a friend who owned a boutique offered me an opportunity to consign some of my jewelry and the business idea developed. Over the years I have enjoyed learning new techniques, creating bolder pieces, and selling in various venues.
