About me.
* I have always been a "crafter" since I was young. I would paint watercolor pages out of coloring books, tape them to my front porch and hoped that someone would stop and buy one of my them.
* Growing up in the 80's and 90's I loved to watch Bob Ross paint on PBS, glue sequins onto sweatshirts to give as Christmas presents to family members and I still have the one I made my grandmother 20+ years ago! In middle school I had an amazing art teacher and I fell in love with artists such as Van Gogh, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Monet.
* I loved art so much that I was an art major in college with a concentration of Interior Design. I never had a career in interior design and instead I worked in college athletics.
* About 15 years ago, I started making hand-painted signs from hand-cut stencils. I would dumpster dive for barnwood and fencewood. I'll do a sign for commission every now and then but now I just make them as baby shower, wedding gifts and thank you gifts.
* The "Berkeley Faith" name: if our 2nd child was a girl, I would have adamantly given her the name Berkeley because I love that name. So when choosing a business name it was easy to use Berkeley and then "Faith" is from my faith in God who has blessed me with so many great things. So that’s how "Berkeley Faith Designs" was born!
* I got into polymer clay in the spring of 2019 when a coworker made earrings out of clay. I became very interested in this medium and I did a lot of research on tools, how to work the clay, how to bake it, etc. before I made any purchases. So I appreciate her inspiring me!
* I love designing jewelry out of the polymer clay, metal, laser cut wood, and a few other materials. My designs are unique and easy to wear. I'm always thinking of new designs and trying to be one step ahead. I love customizing pieces for people, and I'm getting into "state" jewelry and school spirit pieces.
* My aesthetic is warm and inviting, easy to wear and timeless jewelry. I want to develop relationships with customers by providing affordable worthy jewelry.
* Remember you are beautiful and unique. God has made only one of you so be proud, embrace yourself, forgive and love others! ~Lynzee
