Berry Patch sizes run similar to the industry sizing standards used by most higher quality commercial clothing lines. As a general guideline, children up to 8 yrs of age (average in height & weight) will wear the size that's closest to their age. Girls age 9, 10, 11 or 12-13 yrs usually wear my girl's size 10, 12, 14 or 16, respectively.

If you need help I can assist you in choosing the correct size. I also offer custom sizing adjustments in the Personalization Option available in most of my girl's skirt and dress listings.

Except for my mid-calf length skirts, my dresses and skirts fall just below the knee. Dress and skirt lengths, as well as infant size to weight ratios, are provided in additional FAQs below.

Berry Patch clothes are easy to care for. They are made of premium quality, colorfast, shrink and fade resistant 100% cotton fabrics. My garments are constructed to be durable. They will withstand the rigors of frequent laundering and everyday play.

Machine wash & dry at med/low temperatures with colors similar to the LIGHTEST colors in the fabric print. Residual shrinkage is minimal, 0-3%. If ironing is desired use cotton/steam setting.

Laundering tip for no-iron skirts and dresses:
After washing, set your dryer to 'Low-Heat/Less-Dry' setting. Dry them along with other garments of similar weight to create a gentle tumbling effect. Remove promptly, give them a shake and smooth to straighten, then hang them up. They're ready to go!

Keep in mind that babies grow quickly in the first year. Once your baby reaches midway in age to the next size range and/or is within a pound of the next weight range, for increased 'wear time' order the next size up.

Example: For a 6 week old baby or a baby who currently weighs 11 pounds consider choosing the 3-6 month size.

Because my clothing is made to order I can offer custom sizing for many of my styles. For a custom size, include your CHILD'S measurements (not garment measurements) in 'Personalization Option' located beneath size selection in most of my skirt and dress listings.

It is IMPORTANT that the measurements you provide to me are accurate. Measure snugly, over bare chest and waist. I will make the adjustments for garment wearing ease appropriate to the style you are ordering. Elastics on skirt waists will be taken up a bit from the measurement you provide, so that the skirts will hold.



If your child measures exceptionally above or below average height to weight ratios contact me before ordering, as I might need additional sizing details.

All orders arrive ready for gifting, at no additional charge. Each garment is wrapped in tissue paper that's affixed with a 'Handcrafted in Oregon, Berry Patch USA' 4-color logo sticker, and then inserted into a water proof sleeve for protection. Smaller orders are mailed in a tear-proof tyvek envelope. Larger orders are shipped in a Priority Mail box.

If your order is for a gift that's being mailed directly to the recipient, I am happy to include a handwritten note with your personalized message. Just let me know what you'd like it to say, in gift message section at checkout.

Berry Patch USA clothing is artisan handmade in the USA! I am the designer/maker and I draft my own original patterns. Each garment is individually hand-cut and professionally sewn by me, at my home studio in Oregon. Every outfit is lovingly handcrafted, with pride and care, and made to last for many children to enjoy!

Only the finest materials go into the making of my Berry Patch outfits and I stand 100% behind my workmanship and the quality of my clothing.

All my outfits are handmade-to-order and my lead times vary throughout the year. My current lead for processing orders placed today is 2-3 weeks. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your items to be made. Transit time is additional to processing time and varies according to location (typically add 2-6 transit days). Your order will ship from Oregon.

NOTE: Upgrading to Priority mail shipping doesn't upgrade processing time, but I do try to expedite priority upgraded orders if I am able.
