I am a lifelong beader, descended from a beader, who is also descended from a beader — it truly is in my DNA. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have beads in my hands or close by.
My work has been featured many times in Bead & Button Magazine, and I served for several years as a contributing editor for BeadStyle Magazine. I am the author of Seed Bead Stitching, More Seed Bead Stitching, and Bead Play Every Day.
I love creating jewelry and developing bead stitching techniques that encourage curiosity, play, and experimentation. My goal is always to help beadweavers discover their own voice — not just follow steps.
Inspiration comes to me through color, architecture, microscopic imagery, and texture. Every piece I design is stitched by me, one tiny bead at a time, using a mix of classic techniques and structures I’ve developed through years of exploration.
I live in West Bloomfield, Michigan with my husband Sheldon and our two lively dogs. Outside of beadwork, I enjoy developing recipes in the kitchen, building IKEA furniture and LEGO sets, and more recently, creating digital art in Procreate.
