Turning fitness into fun!
Daniel is a Professional Engineer licensed in CO with over 25 years of design, management, construction, and manufacturing experience. He started his career working for Siemens (formerly Westinghouse Electric Corporation), initially in the transportation division but quickly moving to Power Generation, with a focus on industrial gas turbines. In this capacity Daniel worked in design engineering, manufacturing support, and project management. He moved into management with Duke Energy where he managed the largest gas turbine procurement effort in the history of the US power market.
In 2004 he left corporate America and started his own consulting business with an emphasis on managing distressed power assets. This led to owning and operating a salvage company that repurposed industrial equipment. He has also developed and owned real estate properties.
Due to an active lifestyle, Daniel incurred multiple neck and shoulder injuries over his lifetime. He struggled his adult life with back, neck, and shoulder issues, which at times would restrict him to using crutches. In January, 2016, Daniel started yoga and within 6 weeks his back issues were noticeably improved. A couple months later he discovered inversions and his passion with hand balancing began.
Today, at 52, Daniel practices yoga at several local studios in addition to home calisthenics workouts. With a focus on-hand balancing and stall bar conditioning, he has learned from some of the most talented coaches in the country and believes that by practicing mobility, strength and balance training he has had a full recovery and has never felt stronger! Daniel hopes to share his equipment with athletes around the world to encourage them that fitness can be fun, and that any adult can feel and move like a kid again!
