Erica Hager of rural Mandan, North Dakota, worked as a graphic designer until her daughter was born in 2010. Now she relies upon more than 13 years of sewing and design experience to make baby booties that are comfortable, machine washable and stay on children’s feet.
Before her daughter was born, Erica filled her nursery with items she made – gently handcrafted clothes, blankets, bibs etc. Among the treasures she created, she found one stand-out item she couldn't live without.
“My new baby was wearing a pair of soft cloth booties I made for her, and I realized that this was the greatest thing I’d ever made,” Erica said. “They stayed on her feet and she liked them.” After making countless tweaks and alterations, the first pair of “Bison Booties” was born.
“I'm a mom and I make these booties the way I know they will function best,” she said. “It’s my pattern. You won’t find these anywhere else.” Bison Booties stay on even the kickiest baby feet. The cotton soft-sole booties have gentle fabric-wrapped elastic around the ankle, so they're easy to put on, but difficult to kick off. Babies love cuddling their toes into the sherpa fleece insole and moms appreciate that Bison Booties are machine washable.
Each pair of Bison Booties is lovingly handcrafted in North Dakota, USA. Bison Booties are made with designer fabrics and are available in many styles for boys and girls, and sizes from newborn to toddler.
