Cats loved it right away!

The bitey box is fantastic and perfectly fulfilled my need: something for my bitey cat to bite that was strong enough to hold up to his bites and that would hold the bitey sticks upright for him. This is a very niche product, but exactly what I needed. My bitey boy's first bitey love was the ends of wand toys, he likes puppy nylabones, but he loves the bitey box. I got the poplar/oak mix, and the oak definitely stands up better to my boy's biting style. For comparison, I'd say the poplar is a bit stronger than the typical silvervine sticks sold for cats (which are also a similar size) and the oak is much stronger. I'll probably whittle the ends of some silvervine sticks to put in and maybe some other hardwood sticks to try out.

My two cats really liked this board initially with the included poplar and walnut sticks. However, unfortunately once they chewed through the poplar ones, I needed replacements but I couldn't buy more from this seller because they've been on vacation mode for a long time now. Because of this, I was forced to buy replacements elsewhere and once I installed them, my cats became disinterested because the replacement sticks did not seem to be the same for them. Maybe they'll go back to this box once again in the future, but for now, they're ignoring it. However, I do appreciate the quality of this item and of the sticks.

I ran across this item one day and decided to give it a try. My cats are now chewing on this instead of the corners of my furniture. I had been trying to figure out something to do about them chewing for a long time and this is the solution. Everyone who has a cat that chews, you should definitely try it. The customer service is top notch also.
