Adventures of a DIY Mom

I love to share my passion for creating with others.

I'm a wife and mother of four children. I've always wanted to be a mom and I love it! I also have a great need to create. In 2011, I started a blog Adventures of a DIY Mom. Here I share step-by-step tutorials for many of the things I create - everything from sewing projects to recipes to handmade jewelry to woodworking to crafts.

In 2013 I decided to start an Etsy Shop - Bits of Sparkle and Lace. I started out selling jewelry and quickly had a request to make a menu board that I had shared on my blog. I found that there was a market for menu boards and focused on chalkboard menu boards and decorative chalkboards for several years.

In the last five years, I have found a new passion - quilting! I have rebranded my shop to reflect my blog name and sell quilting patterns.
