So Bixipix is my local photography business which has morphed into my Etsy shop, where I sell my prints, vintage finds and paintings. The brief History of Bixi is its my nickname so it only seems right. As for Stellar Ladybug designs, I'll let Kim (mom) tell the story "Our Ladybug story started in 2009 on a road trip with my Mother and Daughter. We were brought together with our first tattoos. Needless to say my Mother and I sport a very cute Ladybug on our calves. Since then we refer to ourselves as the "Ladybugs"; this is where the Stellar Ladybug Designs was born. My inspiration into the repurposed upcycled came to me on a vacation to Cuba. I was shopping at an Artisian market and my eye caught a stunning handcrafted spoon bangle and a fork bangle. How each piece transformed into a beautiful wearable piece of jewelry. I was awe inspired.
Upon planning my retirement, I mentioned to my Daughter Rebecca that I need to keep my time and hands busy. She said Mom lets make jewelry. She knew that was a passion of mine. Hence the birth of a new chapter, Stellar Ladybug Designs was born. So please check out our shop, our designs are created with reclaimed and repurposed piece in which we silver solder sterling silver, brass and copper. These are all one of a kind pieces and truly handmade!
