Care instructions
You should hand wash your items in warm soapy water and dry it immediately after washing to prolong the life.
Do not put in dishwasher!!
Every few months you should apply oil to extend the lifespan of your item. You can use any food-safe oil such as flaxseed, walnut, flaxseed, or a butcher's block oil. Please do not use olive oil as it may go rancid over time.
Sizing details
When shopping for an eating spoon, it can be a little daunting to find the right size!
A good general guide is to find your favourite spoon in your drawer and measure the width. Alternatively, measure the width of your index, middle, and ring fingers as this is supposedly the maximum size your mouth can comfortably fit.
Obviously, it's a bit of guesswork, but hopefully, this will help you pick a comfortable size for you.
Lifetime replacement guarantee
Wooden objects that are well-loved and used will eventually get to a point where they are no longer fit for purpose. This could be years, decades, or even longer if you take care of your items!!
However, once that day arrives I'll be happy to replace the item with something similar free of charge (although I do ask that you cover the postage costs). I will gladly work with you to design a replacement, but it will not be identical and I cannot guarantee I can get hold of the same wood etc but I hope we can find something that works for you.
Is a wooden spoon safe to use?
Yes! Absolutely!
I take every care to meticulously finish each spoon to a high level using food-safe mineral oil, or a beeswax & coconut oil paste. Obviously, as a small craft outfit, I cannot 100% guarantee that your spoon may develop splinters or cracks over time. If that happens, stop using it immediately and contact me for a replacement.
Once again, I want to reiterate that I take every care and use the same products in my own household every day.
