How I Started Making These Blank Patch Sheets
I first started making these patch sheets for myself when I bought my first synth, the Roland JP-08. I was working on multiple songs at once, each using different patches/presets. Sure, the synth could store the preset, but I still had to remember which number it was, and what if I wanted to recreate the sound? I bought a few more synths, a 3-ring binder with a few folders, and was doing that for a while until I discovered I could turn them into print-on-demand notebooks. That's how all this started.
A few years later, there are over 60 individual notebooks on Amazon in a perfect 6"x9" size. They're MUCH easier to store and flip through than a bunch of printed 11"x7" pieces of paper. That said, not everybody wants the notebook, and maybe you want to save a few patches here and there. So I make the printables available, too.
I recently started turning the synth face designs I created for the notebook covers into stickers and sell those here on Etsy.
Visit my site, DavidSparks.me/Blank-Patch-Sheets for more information and links to the notebooks if that interests you. Let me know if you have any synth requests that aren't in the current lineup, or if you'd like to see these designs turned into posters, stickers, shirts, or anything else.
Best,
David
