Abeka Art Boxes are Born!
The story of how I began making Art Boxes
I started making art Boxes a few years ago, after countless debacles during weekly Abeka Art time. Often I didn't have the necessary, random supplies on hand that the projects called for: raffia (what's that!?) 4" wooden skewers, toilet paper tubes, snowflake confetti, beads, buttons... the list goes on... After a few years of tears and frustration (from all of us! Lol), I decided to assemble everything for Art time at the beginning of the year, while I was already organizing all the curriculum into file boxes anyway.
As I created my first Art Boxes, an idea began to take form. The thought that maybe, perhaps other families might want the option to purchase everything they'd need for Art time for their child, packaged in one ready to use box. I crunched some numbers and realized that buying an Art Box would save families up to HUNDREDS of dollars versus buying all the necessary supplies individually. The first time I made the Art Boxes, I only made 1st and 2nd Grade Boxes, (the same grades my children were in, lol). I made five boxes for each grade to see how they'd do, and to my surprise they sold out rather quickly.
Over the last two years I've slowly added every grade from Preschool to Art C (6th Grade) and I've begun making the Art Boxes in batches of 20, 30, and 40! My children often help assemble the Art Boxes and the money earned is put towards their Homeschool Curriculum.
This year things have gone well and I think Blessed Is Best Co.'s name is starting to get out there, but this is a very niche product for an already niche part of our society. Making art Boxes for Homeschoolers and then homeschoolers whom specifically use Abeka. So if you've found yourself here, Thank you for being here. Thank you for your support, and Thank you for helping my children to be homeschooled as well. If you would like to, please follow on social media Blessed Is Best on Facebook, and Blessed Is Best Co. on Instagram. Any follow, share, or like helps to reach more families and get Blessed Is Best Co. out there. I'd love to see you there and thank you with all my heart for being a part of the Blessed Is Best. Co. family.
Please reach out any time with questions, comments, or just to chat! I'd love to talk with you!
Love, prayers, and blessings!
