Frequently asked questions
How are my products eco-friendly?
I aim to be as environmentally conscious as possible when producing my designs.
I use 100% post-consumer recycled card stock for my cards, and 100% low-grade (greenest) recycled kraft brown paper for my envelopes. My cards are packed in bio-degradable and compostable corn starch (annually renewable) or nativia display bags.
I typically use Caligo safe wash relief inks that are non-toxic vegetable oils and easily cleaned with just soap and water eliminating the need for harsh chemicals and solvents.
For prints I use Somerset Printmaking papers that are made from 100% cotton linter - a renewable byproduct of the cotton industry.
At this time my stickers are vinyl to be hard-wearing but I am looking into greener solutions.

Postage and Delivery
Many of my pieces are printed to order as I don't have the resources to have prints on hand at all times. Due to the nature of my products and the drying times they require, this means I need a few days from printing before I can ship them. I try to keep stock of popular items in as much as possible so although your shipping estimate may be a few days if I have it on hand and can get to the post office I will often ship same, or next day. If you have an urgent order please just drop me a message or email and I can see what I can do.
Post pandemic postal systems take much longer domestically and internationally so please allow the following:
UK - up to one week
USA/Canada/Australia - 10-15 days is common and up to a month in busy periods.
Gift wrapping and packaging
If you mark your order as a gift and it is a print it will come wrapped in some black tissue paper with a branded logo sticker to affix it. However, any orders for greetings cards marked as gifts will not be wrapped. If you have a special need for gift wrapping on your order please drop me a message and I'll try my best to help!
What's Linocut?
Linocut artwork is where you take a block of lino (not exactly the stuff on your kitchen floor, but not far off) and carve away areas with special tools and gouges to make a relief print which you can then roll ink onto and use to print multiple copies of an artwork.
It's a traditional way of making art and has been around since at least the 1800's when linoleum itself was first created.
Each print has its own unique qualities due to the printmaking process and the fine papers that are used when it is handprinted.

De Minimis and Tariffs

I am not liable or in control of these fees and do not receive any additional payment for them therefor they are your responsibility and I will not be held liable for any additional cost. In addition, items rejected due to failure to pay customs charges will not be refunded until the goods have been returned to me.
I will share more information when we know what the fees could entail.
