¿Cómo empezamos? Desde que era una niña supe que quería ser empresaria, pero nunca estuve muy segura de cuál iba a ser mi negocio. Mis abuelas me presentaron el amor por la artesanía, y para cada día festivo especial me regalaban algo hecho a mano. Recibir sus regalos que pasaron horas y horas creando siempre me hizo sentir como lo más importante de su mundo. ¡Pude sentir el amor que entró en él!
Después de que mi hija Ava nació en 2016, estaba desesperada por encontrar una manera de quedarme en casa con mis hijos y trabajar desde casa. Decidí combinar mi amor por hacer cosas y mi deseo de ser emprendedor. Comencé a vender artículos que creé a amigos y familiares, y en un intento de ayudar a generar un poco más de ingresos para nuestra familia, vendí en ferias de artesanía durante mi licencia de maternidad. Lamentablemente, no fue suficiente para llegar a fin de mes, lo que me llevó a probar Etsy. Estaba empezando a ganar un poco de impulso cuando me encontré con un bloqueo de carretera.
"Entonces ... ¿Cuándo vas a conseguir un trabajo REAL?"
Un día, mi (ahora ex) esposo finalmente preguntó: "Entonces... ¿cuándo vas a conseguir un trabajo REAL?". Nuestra familia necesitaba nuestros dos ingresos, y mi negocio de Etsy aún no estaba allí. Su pregunta podría haber quitado el viento de mis velas, pero siendo tan terco como yo, ¡solo alimentó el fuego para demostrarle que estaba equivocado! Redoblé todos mis esfuerzos. Trabajé durante muchas noches sin dormir y días agotadores tratando de trabajar y manejar a un niño de 2 años y recién nacido. Eventualmente, ¡valió la pena! 5 años después, Etsy ha sido mi gracia salvadora este año mientras navegaba por un divorcio y la vida por mi cuenta como madre con 3 niños pequeños (de 3, 5 y 7 años).
En 2021 pude cumplir mi sueño de comprar una hermosa tienda por mi cuenta para tener un espacio de trabajo más grande y eficiente para trabajar. Tengo un equipo de personas a tiempo completo (también conocido como el "Dream Team") que ayudan a elaborar a mano nuestros rompecabezas, bancos y pizarras.

How did we start? From the time that I was a little girl I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur, but I was never quite sure what my business was going to be. My grandmothers introduced me to a love of crafting, and for every special holiday they would gift something handmade to me. Receiving their gifts that they spent hours and hours creating always made me feel like the most important thing in their world. I could feel the love that went into it!
After my daughter Ava was born in 2016 I was desperate to figure out a way to stay home with my kids and work from home. I decided to combine my love for making things and my desire to be an entrepreneur. I started selling items I created to friends and family, and in an attempt to help bring in a little more income for our family I sold at craft fairs during my maternity leave. Sadly, it wasn't quite enough to make ends meet which prompted me to give Etsy a try. I was just starting to gain a little momentum when I ran into a road block.
“So…when are you going to get a REAL job?”
One day my (now Ex) husband finally asked, “So…when are you going to get a REAL job?”. Our family needed both of our incomes, and my Etsy business wasn't quite there yet. His question could have taken the wind out of my sails but being as stubborn as I am it just fueled the fire to prove him wrong! I doubled down on all of my efforts. I worked through many sleepless nights and exhausting days trying to work and manage a 2 year old and newborn. Eventually- it paid off! 5 years later Etsy has been my saving grace this year as I navigated a divorce and life on my own as a Mom with 3 little kids (ages 3, 5, and 7).
In 2021 I was able to accomplish my dream to purchase a beautiful shop all on my own to have a bigger and more efficient workspace to work out of. I have a full time team of people (aka the "Dream Team") helping to handcraft our puzzles, banks, and chalkboards.
