Blowfish Designs started in Aspen, CO in the Fall of 2011. The active lifestyle that we have known to live by brought it to life. We felt there was a need for a hat that we could take on adventures and that was unique to each of us.

The company originated by mountain men Chris Erickson and Jason Albert with a collaboration of design, business, and originality. It has evolved over the years of husband and wife team of Chris and Erin Erickson, with their toddler in tow inspiring the kids styles.

We stand against mass production and highly manufactured products. We believe that an accessory should have a personality and a story behind it at Blowfish Designs. This is the new paradigm of better business and communities. We have a small team of stitchers that are based on the West Coast of the USA. Chris and I head up design and are constantly dreaming up new hats, styles, and ideas to keep creativity flowing.

Our hats are meant to have fun so we like to keep our production small and in the family. Our collection of fabrics is always evolving because we like to keep our designs fresh and make a hat for each personality. We also work with small textile makers and artists to keep designs new and exciting.

You will see our hats on the heads of adventurers, skiers, surfers, climbers, artists, and other vagabonds throughout the world. Our roots are in Colorado but we are currently based in White Salmon, WA.
