I met my hubby in 2005, who just happened to have a unique antique shop (that I never saw open) filled with unique and odd treasures. It piqued my curiosity until, one year later, while passing by, I saw two men standing in the shop doorway, speaking. I went over and asked which one of them was the owner. And the man who became my husband said, “I know how to get in touch with the owner”. I looked at him, laughed, and said, “You’re the owner!” From that point on, the conversation was very brief, but we became friends, and the rest is history. We both had a love for all things antique, odd, and unique, and enjoyed treasure hunting together. We married in 2008, I moved with him south to NC, and we bought the barn on our property. I wanted it painted a deep sky blue, and it houses a lifetime of collecting. Hence, Blue Barn Relics. His legacy lives on through BBR, and I hope to fulfill his desire to pass these treasures on to those who would appreciate them as he did.
