About Me
I began creating Redwork patterns in 2002 for my mother, who loved all kinds of embroidery, but especially Redwork. My very first set of patterns was “The 20s Kids,” and what started as something special for my mother eventually grew into a collection of 20 pattern sets. Now that I’m retired and have more time to create, I’m working on Set No. 21!
I also love to sew. My grandmother taught me how to sew and embroider, and those skills have stayed with me throughout my life. I make zipper bags, project bags, aprons, and all sorts of other things. There’s just something very satisfying about taking fabric and thread and turning them into something useful and beautiful.
I’m also a collector of vintage and antique things. I love old things—their history, their character, and the stories they seem to tell. But eventually, you have to admit that you can't take it with you!
So, I’m slowly selling some of my treasures and finding them new homes. It’s actually quite wonderful to know that things that have been in my line of sight for 50 or 60 years can now be enjoyed and appreciated by someone else.
