Nature is filed with beautiful colours. I'm so happy to find out how those colors of nature appear on dyed by plants wool.
The loom is gently knocking in a corner. I just adore that sound. New fabric is just being born.
Everything started a long time ago. It began even since I was a small girl.I remember dark winter evening spent with my mom and my grandmother surrounded by yarn. We were busy knitting and sewing.At that time weaving still was so far away only in my dreams. I always wanted to figure out this mysterious craft, but life went on and I was too busy with other interesting things in my life such as painting and interior design. However one day my dream became reality after 20 years. It happened to pass by and jump in without any intention to the weaving museum. To my surprise I was asked “Maybe you want to try to weave?You should guess what the answer was :) Few days later I bought my first loom and start working.
The shop title comes as well from my childhood. I don’t even remember why friends used to call me Blue wool. I like this cute nickname, so I kept it. Since I started dyeing wool with natural plant dyes, I felt in love with indigo blue. I realized how smart my childhood friends were by choosing a nickname for me.
Every summer I'm traveling around to Viking reenactment markets and festivals. You can find me surrounded by tablet woven trim, hand woven fabric, plant dyed yarn. Perhaps one day we will meet each other there :)
