As a young boy growing up in the heart of Ukraine, I was always fascinated by the art of leather crafting. The way a piece of rawhide could be transformed into a beautiful, functional item was nothing short of magical to me. This fascination would eventually lead me to start my own online shop, Bohatstore, on Etsy.
My journey began when I was just a teenager, learning the basics of leather crafting from my grandfather. He was a skilled artisan who had been working with leather for decades, and he passed on his knowledge and passion to me. I spent countless hours in his workshop, watching him work and learning the intricacies of the craft.
As I grew older, I began to experiment with my own designs, creating unique leather goods that showcased my creativity and skill. Friends and family members started to take notice, and soon enough, I was receiving requests to create custom pieces for them.
It was during this time that I realized the potential of turning my passion into a business. I wanted to share my love for leather crafting with the world, and I knew that Etsy was the perfect platform to do so. In 2024, I launched Bohatstore, a name that reflects my Ukrainian heritage and my love for the craft.
Bohatstore has become a thriving online shop, offering a wide range of leather goods, from wallets and belts to bags and accessories. Each piece is still handcrafted with the same care and attention to detail that I learned from my grandfather all those years ago.
Looking back on my journey, I am grateful for the opportunities that Etsy has provided me. It has allowed me to turn my passion into a successful business, and I am proud to be a part of the global community of artisans and creators that make up the Etsy marketplace.
