Handcrafted Jewelry
I started my shop with the help of my mom. I always make bracelets for myself and wear them whenever I can. I always have requests from people to make them some too so I decided to share them on here with everyone else.
I was finding ideas for bracelets and necklaces from Pinterest and after making some jewelry for myself, my family, and my friends, my mom came up with the idea to put my stuff on Etsy. After brainstorming a name, we came up with Boiler Chic. My mom and I both are big Purdue fans and I am now going to school at Purdue. We thought this not only represented me, but was a really fun and different name.
Since I go to school, I work on my Etsy stuff during the afternoons and nights. I make all my jewelry in my dorm room when I am at school. Although I spend a lot of time studying, my Etsy takes up a big part of my time because I absolutely love doing it!
I love working with string, wire, chain, etc. I get ideas of new jewelry pieces from all over, whether it is from other jewelry I see, pictures, quotes, or even just random designs and patterns I come across. I hope to make jewelry that not only I will wear, but others as well.
