Are your jewelry settings and chains nickel and lead free?
Yes, they are all nickel/lead free. Brass based metal and silver/brass plated. Nothing is sterling silver unless specifically stated in the listing. I never work with real gold.
How do your source your animal parts?
Nothing is ever killed for my work seen here! I honor their lives in my art, not glorify their death. I am my own supplier for 99% of the animal by-products I use in my art. I find, process, and preserve them myself. They are natural death, road kill and hunter dumped remains. Sometimes donations are given to me rather than them being wasted. Mostly from small local farms. On rare occasions I locate ethical sources for anything I can't find locally like shed porcupine quills and deer antler. Any animal by-products from small farms were from animals that were well cared for and either died naturally or humanely put down. Everything used in my shop was obtained by legal means approved by the US Fish & Wildlife Service and legal to sell in FL.
Are the human teeth real? How did you get real human teeth? Will you buy mine?
If my listing says real human tooth or real human molar/incisor/etc it is real. The human teeth I use are 100% legally acquired from within the US and not bone, so it is also legal to sell. Human teeth are not considered bone because they are not part of the skeletal system, cannot regenerate or heal themselves when damaged, and lack living marrow. In the case of baby teeth (and some wisdom teeth), they were family heirlooms kept by a family until acquired by me. Most wisdom teeth and adult teeth came to me after being removed by an oral surgeon. Please PM me directly with photos to discuss the trade of your teeth for goods/services.
Can you make my supplied tooth/etc into jewelry?
Yes, I offer many options. Look in the Custom Orders Options section of my shop and read through the listings to see exactly how the process works. If you are outside the US please PM me directly for more info.
Do you do pet memorials?
Contact me at jonesysfriends@gmail.com for more info. Do not email me there for any other reason please. There are options for pet teeth/cremains already in the Custom Order Options section of my shop as well.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Sorry, I do not offer gift wrapping or gift note. I have it set up in my shop that these options are disabled. But Etsy still shows it at checkout regardless. I do not put receipts in any orders so selecting the gift option is not going to change anything. I only include a thank you note with links to where to find me.
Animal Parts Legal Notice
All animal by-products used in my shop were obtained by legal means approved by the US Fish & Wildlife Service and legal to sell in Florida. Buyers are responsible for knowing their own state animal parts laws as they differ state to state.
How do I care for your work?
Most of my products are of an organic nature and handmade. Do not wear jewelry in the shower or while swimming. Do not use jewelry cleaners. Do not display artwork in a humid place like a bathroom, kitchen or outdoors. Some items can also be sun bleached if displayed long term in direct sunlight.
Uranium Glass Safety Info: Are the uranium glass pieces you sell safe?
The amounts of uranium used in each piece are typically very low so it is safe to have in your home so long as it is used and handled correctly. In fact, a report published by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2001, stated that uranium glass is considered to be safer than household electronics. Find more info online.
Do you offer free shipping? How does it ship?
To qualify for free US shipping spend at least $35 before taxes/shipping. Most orders that qualify for free shipping will ship USPS Ground Advantage. If it is only a book/s it will ship out Media Mail. If you need faster shipping you will need to select Priority Mail and pay for the upgrade at checkout.
