Nearly 10 years ago, Ryan and I started experimenting with our alcohol. After years of brewing beer and wine, we decided to explore spirits—but safely. With a tiny condo and big ambitions, we turned to maceration and infusion instead of a copper still. Hours of tinkering, tiny glass vials of herbs, and careful blending led us to our first recipes for Absinthe, Old Fashioned cocktail kits, Cinnamon Whiskey, and nine unique gins.
From our Kickstarter launch in 2014 to our current production in a restored 1920’s Ice House in Buckeye, Arizona, we’ve hand-batched every vial with love and precision. Our focus has always been on craftsmanship, experimentation, and fun.
Along the way, we discovered a shared love of all things vintage—restoring old houses, collecting nostalgic treasures, and fixing broken-but-loved items. That passion inspired us to expand our Etsy shop beyond infusions. Today, Bootleg Botanicals offers curated gifts, Prohibition-inspired spirits, and handpicked vintage collectibles for anyone who appreciates history, craftsmanship, and a touch of nostalgia.
