I’ve always loved making art and working with metal, the heat, the weight, the transformation. But like a lot of us, I got pulled into career mode. I became grouchy and cynical, losing most of my sense of wonder. I forgot who I was and stopped seeing magic in the world, and with it, my inspiration.

I went through a decade-long creative drought until something broke open in me when my son was born. I realized I couldn’t raise him into the same numb, soulless world I had accepted. If I wanted something better for him, I had to find a way back to wonder myself.

That path led me to Hekate.

She came to me in a dream and told me this was my magic. Working with metal, shaping, etching, and forging allowed me to connect to something deeper.

So I returned to it. I started forging and etching small ritual objects: offerings, blades, rings, bookmarks. These pieces aren’t mass-produced. Each one is made by hand, one at a time, with intention.

The name Borborophorgea comes from one of Hekate’s titles, Borborophorba, “Eater of Filth.” She transforms what’s overlooked or discarded into something sacred. That spirit still guides every piece I make.
