How Southeastern Snake Charmer Came to Be
I have always loved animals and art. I spent several years working on reptile farms and took care of so many different species from including monitor lizards, geckos, frogs, and turtles. Of everything though, the majority of my work centered around snakes. I always thought it was interesting that the patterns of many snakes are still visible in their sheds and started wondering if there was a way to display these. After research and experimentation, I started making jewelry!
I showed off my first pieces to friends and family and they were a big hit, so I decided to try my hand at selling them. When I began selling on Etsy, I wanted to find a way to incorporate my beloved dogs, Boston and Hunter, and decided to name my shop after them when I began. Those who've bought from me in the past may have known my shop as "BossHunts." I felt like I needed a little change after some years to connect my work more to the slithering inspiration to it, while maintaining a connection to my past, so a name change occurred in 2024.
Now I am making more and more that I am proud of and have expended to making other types of art and using more resources found in nature. I'm even hesitant to sell many of these pieces because I absolutely love how they turned out! I have greatly enjoyed perfecting my craft and love to hear about how much my customers enjoy their purchases.
