A little about me and how I was inspired to build a sewing business -
Growing up as an Amish girl in the 4th largest Amish community in Ohio, I was privileged to be in the company of women who were homemakers, bakers, quilters, crocheters, seamstresses and crafters of all sorts. Although I am no longer Amish, it seems only natural for me to follow in the footsteps of the women I grew up with and use my sewing talent as a way to provide for my large family of 11.

One of the fondest memories of my childhood are of the days my mother took us along with her to monthly "quilt gatherings" held at my great Grandmother's home. All the women that came to the gathering helped my Grandmother piece together the quilts that she would sell for extra spending money. I remember dreaming of the day that I would be one of the women (grandmothers, mother, aunts & cousins) gathered around the quilt rack stitching away as they fellowshipped together. Years later after leaving the Amish community, a dear friend from church asked if I would like to learn how to quilt. She taught me a basic block and I was HOOKED immediately! I started reading all I could get my hands on about sewing & fabric stores became my new favorite hangout. I learned all I could on sewing techniques & taught myself all that I know how to sew today. I am so fortunate to be living out the dream I had as a little girl of following in my great Grandmother's footsteps and count the blessings that flow from my sewing business daily!!

I am so thankful for Etsy where I can use my creative side as a way to add to my family's income while I stay home to raise my children!

The name of my shop is inspired from the virtuous woman found in Proverbs 31.
...She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
...She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
... She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
