About

Old Books n' Quality Libraries

Books:

Dusty piles of books, mysterious libraries, the glow of light reflecting on gold lettering, antique volumes, forgotten treasures in attics, pen n' ink illustrations, winter evenings with a novel n' steaming cup of tea...

My goal is to help you build your library and preserve the vintage books of yesteryear. I sell vintage books from 1800 to the 1980's. I love old books. I love the smell of old books. I love the feel of old books. I love thinking about who might have owned them and where they have been. Books change cultures, build nations and tear them down, and make impressions upon a child's mind~ indelible pictures and ideals they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Books are delightful, educational, and powerful. In short books are one of the greatest treasures of this earth.

If you are looking for a particular title to add to your shelves just let me know and I will be delighted to keep on the lookout for you during my book hunts (I might even have a copy hiding in my library)!

The Name:

The name of my shop, Box Thirteen, comes from one of my absolute favorite (and the very best) detective radio show ever produced in the history of radio: Box13. It is an old time radio show from the 1940's that stars Alan Ladd as Dan Holiday, an author who does detective work to get ideas for his novels--and has life-threatening adventures as a consequence...

If you have any thoughts, questions, comments, or requests please send me a message, I'd be delighted to hear from you!
