Childhood Hobby Evolved
The history suggests that a friendship bracelet is given as a sign of friendship. It is intended to be tied on the wrist of a friend and worn continually as a symbol of lasting friendship.
You can also select colors for a friendship bracelet that reflect the character traits of the intended recipient.
❤️ Pink ~ Kind
❤️ Red ~ Honest
🧡 Orange ~ Energetic
💛 Yellow ~ Cheerful
💚 Green ~ Responsible
💙 Blue ~ Loyal
🖤 Black ~ Strong
Traditions claim that while the recipient is having the bracelet tied on their wrist by their friend to make a wish. The bracelet is meant to be worn on the wrist until it disintegrates naturally. At that time the wish is supposed to come true.
Today friendship bracelets seem to be appearing on the wrists of everyone from children to adults.
ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Jenn. I am a single mom to a now wonderful young man. I currently live in the Boston area. People who are close to me would describe me as an open-minded, down to earth, caring and honest person. When I am not creating one of my bracelets or some other handmade craft, you can usually find me at a local coffee shop socializing with friends. I enjoy many things in life. Some activities include reading, playing softball, camping and baking. I adore animals and the outdoors.
I enjoy every minute of being a handmade business owner. It is nice to make some extra income, however the most gratifying part about having my shop is that I get to share my passion with my customers. A good day is when I know I have put a smile or made a difference to even just one customer.
I decided to open an Etsy shop because I wanted the opportunity to share with others something I enjoyed and was passionate about. I knew I could offer a product that was both meaningful as well as being practical. Basically I started my business with the intention of making a difference in my customers lives.
ABOUT MY WORK
I take pride in each every item I create. Each of my bracelets are made with high quality embroidery floss thread. I use a technique some may know as macrame. This entails tying hundreds of tiny knots in a specific order to create a pattern. I put a great time of effort and love into each of my bracelets. Depending on the difficulty of the pattern, it usually takes me anywhere between 1 to 4 hours to create a bracelet. As challenging as it may sound, I love every minute of it. In no way does it feel like work.
I recently started adding clamps, clasps, and chains to some of my bracelets. I have found that not everyone would like to wear their bracelets the traditional way (tying it on). Therefore, by adding these materials to the bracelet, allows for easy removal of the bracelet if needed.
My goal in the near future is to expand my shop to a wider variety of jewelry and other handmade products. Therefore, please be sure to check back often, as I am always adding new and exciting items.
*ATTENTION*
I HAVE ONE PET CAT. SHE IS AN INDOOR CAT, AND I DO MY BEST TO KEEP HER HAIR AND/OR DANDER AWAY FROM MY BRACELETS. HOWEVER, AN OCCASIONAL HAIR MAY BECOME AIRBORNE, AND COME IN CONTACT WITH MY BRACELETS. THEREFORE, IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN PURCHASING ITEMS FROM MY SHOP. THANK YOU!
