From Carbs to Concerts: The Accidental Artist's Journey
I'm an accidental artist who stumbled into design when the Atkins craze back in 2003 inspired me to revolt, and create an 'I Love Carbs' shirt. This simple yet powerful design struck a chord with many, demonstrating how a straightforward message could resonate deeply with people's emotions and experiences. The shirt's unexpected popularity ignited my passion for creating designs that connect with pop culture and personal expression. This journey led me to become a full-time designer focusing mostly on creating pop culture t-shirts and stickers. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of my creative evolution.
As I continued my design work, I had a personal realization that sparked a new creative direction. Reflecting on my experiences, I noticed how many of my cherished concert memories from the '90s were fading. This epiphany inspired me to create 'Concerts Remembered,' a guided journal to help others preserve their musical experiences. The success of this project opened my eyes to the power of guided journals in capturing life's precious moments.
Now, I channel my creativity and design skills into crafting a diverse collection of over 20 unique guided journals, applying the same principles of connecting with people's emotions and experiences that made my t-shirts successful. These journals cover a wide spectrum of life experiences and interests, from personal reflections to hobby documentation. My inspiration comes from life experiences, conversations with people, and a desire to help others document and celebrate their personal stories. Each journal is a labor of love, combining thoughtful prompts, intuitive layouts, and engaging designs to create a unique memory-keeping experience. These journals merge my passion for design with my commitment to helping people capture and preserve their memories in a meaningful, lasting way.
