I run Ukiyo-e workshops too.
We started by offering the experience of printing The Great Wave off Kanagawa and have now expanded our selection.
One of the seven 3D printed and hand finished 'woodblocks' ready for a printing session of The Great Wave Off Kanagawa.

A New Twist on Traditional Japanese Woodblock Printing.

Hi, I am an artist and industrial designer living in Paris. I make paintings with a new hand-printing process I developed using my design skills and my 3D printer.

It started with a visit the Hokusai exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris several years ago, where I was intensely inspired by his drawings and Ukiyo-e prints. After this experience I gradually perfected a technique to 3D print plastic 'woodblocks', instead of carving wooden blocks by hand.

Art should be accessible to everybody, so more people can benefit from the uplifting power of colour and story. I hope the popularity of 3D printing and my printing process could be the catalyst that makes this come true.

I run regular Ukiyo-e printing workshops using 3D printed woodblocks for adults and children.
