Ceramic wares created for the everyday like the comfort of a round bowl, and the cup that holds the right amount of coffee to start the day.
At Break the Pot Studio, we take pride in simple, minimalist silhouettes combined with intricate, well thought out designs to create our very distinctive voice. Our influence comes from the intersection of being a Filipino-American. Both cultures have very deep relationships with lines, color, and geometric symbolism - from pre-colonial ancestral traditions of the Philippines to the geometric abstract art movement in the early 20th century in the United States, we are using lines and color to speak to each other beyond the barriers of language.
The variety of pieces we produce are all one-of-a-kind pieces of art which can serve as a beautiful decorative art in the home, handcrafted with care with the best quality materials, and driven by tradition, creativity, and craftsmanship.
Break the Pot is run by Isabel along with her dog Merah. Growing up, Isabel's mother owned a store where she made decorations for children's birthday parties. One of the things they would make was painted ceramic pots for a game called "Breaking the Pot." The goal of the game is to hit a clay pot full of candy with a stick (like a piñata) while blindfolded. The clay pot would have clown faces on them with very vibrant colors. This memory informs so much of Isabel's own work, it is a source for her love of colors and how color can be a vessel to bring about memories. Isabel is so proud to be able to keep up the tradition of decorating ceramics.

5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely love this palo santo holder. It's beautifully handmade, lovely texture, glaze design and colors. Works great with catching the ash from burning palo santo sticks. Very quick shipping as well. Thank you. Will be cherishing this for a long time.
