This Handmade Life
To me it's all about the final act of making things. I come from a family of builders and problem solvers, so it is a family tradition to sit around the dinner table and come up with ridiculous schemes and unconventional ways to solve everyday problems.
I really enjoy giving new life to old things. It always bums me out when I go into these huge stores and see all this new stuff everywhere, I just always felt we had enough already. Which is part of why I started this site! I also run erikxtaylor.etsy.com which is empty right now but I am thinking of filling with my photographs. I also really enjoy helping my pretty lady with her shop at brightwallvintage.etsy.com
When I am not making stuff, I enjoy hanging out with my pretty wife, petting my two awesome dogs, and swimming in large bodies of water. Not ponds. I don't play that. I also like to work on my old truck, and fix old houses. I used to be a pretty good photographer, now I am good enough for me. I eat a lot of vegetables but not exclusively, once again, I don't play that. I drink coffee, water, beer, and whiskey. On the best days, in that order.
I enjoy this handmade life.
