A small British workshop in the American South!
I'm Emma, and I run BritCraftsUS out of my workshop in South Carolina — a long way from where I grew up in England.
The shop started with a practical problem. My service dog, Smokey, goes everywhere with me, and I couldn't find a car decal that said what I actually needed it to say in a design I'd actually want on my window. So I made one. Then a friend wanted one. Then a stranger did.
Now I design and make everything myself: vinyl stickers and decals, embroidered and sublimated patches, and laser-engraved metal tags. Every order passes through my hands — printed, cut, weeded, pressed, packed. No drop-shipping, no warehouse in another state.
Most of what I make does the same job: helping handlers and their dogs be understood. Service dog decals. Medical alert patches. Gear tags that won't fade off by August. Things with a purpose, that should still look good doing it.
The other half of my life is on the mats. I'm a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and I teach at my local academy, so the BJJ designs come from the same place the dog gear does — I make the things I wanted for my own gym bag and couldn't find. If you train, you'll know the difference between a design made by someone who rolls and one made by someone who Googled "armbar."
Thank you for supporting a small maker. If you need different wording or something made just for you, message me — I'd rather make you the right thing than sell you the near-enough thing.
