Sew, grandma, sew!
I started my shop back in 2012 when I found myself raising a baby long after I thought I was finished with all that. I was looking for cloth training pants for my grandchild and all I found were very high-priced and not of the quality I was looking for. I decided to make some and showed them to a co-worker, who suggested that I sell them on Etsy. "What's Etsy?" was my response and she showed me. Initially, I made items and sold them through a few websites including my own (bubbybums). Eventually, I dropped selling through the other platforms and stuck with my site and Etsy. I was working a fulltime job and a few shifts at a part time job too. But I wanted to spend most of my free time with my grandchild. I viewed making these items as a way to accomplish that. I no longer rely on a part time job outside the home because my business is just that. I still work my regular job and when I am not discussing the joys of kid stuff with my grandchild, I sew.
