5 out of 5 starsI would call myself an advanced beginner sewist, and I found this pattern fun and easy to make (well, except my crazy top-stitching skills for the brim, but that’s on me… LOL!). I love that the hat is reversible, and it is perfect for my ponytail-wearing habit! I used KAM snaps instead of Velcro for the closure to avoid the Velcro pulling my hair, and they work perfectly! I will say, use a very firm interfacing for the brim! I didn’t have any on hand, so I used a heavyweight cotton fabric I had on hand, and the brim falls into my eyes when the wind blows. But, it was so fun and easy to make, I’m just going to make another one with the correct interfacing! I LOVE this hat pattern so much!!!
