I have always enjoyed working with my hands and creating things, and decided to expand my passion into a small business to share my work with others. I am a part-time artist and enjoy applying engineering design with unique techniques and materials.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

Unfortunately I am not currently accepting custom or personalized orders.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All items (especially spindles) are packaged well to avoid potential damage during shipping.

Gift wrapping or gift packaging is available for a nominal fee upon request.

Items lost or damaged during shipping

Due to the handmade nature of my products, I cannot guarantee an identical replacement for items that were damaged during shipping. If your order was damaged during shipping, please contact me within 14 days and I will work with you to return the item or exchange it.

Unfortunately I cannot take responsibility for items that are mis-delivered or lost during shipping. I provide tracking numbers for all of my orders, and in the unfortunate instance that an item is mis-delivered or lost during shipping I will work with you and the carrier to attempt to locate the package.

International Orders

As a seller, I am responsible for accurately documenting the items I post internationally for import and customs purposes.

Please note that international customers may be responsible for paying VAT or customs duties not included in my prices or shipping charges prior to receiving the items they purchase.

Which spindle is the best for a beginner?

While a beginner could learn to spin on any of my spindles, many beginners are hesitant to invest much money in a craft they may or may not stick with. With this in mind, I recommend my Economy drop spindles, which are durable enough to withstand the abuse of being dropped repeatedly by a new spinning student and have a low price point (comparable to basic spindles offered by some of the large commercial manufacturers, such as Ashford).

My economy drop spindles are designed with beginners in mind; Beginners typically prefer spindles that are a little bit on the light side (as they are easier to suspend off a single ply without pulling the fiber apart) and with longer shafts that are easier to manipulate.
