Woodworking is more than a job
Woodworking to most is a hobby. To others, a profession. To me, it is a passion. The kind of passion that will have you cutting wood at your table saw at 3 in the morning, wearing only your boxers. The kind of passion that has you coming home on your lunch hour to squeeze 20 minutes of sanding in. I don’t do this for the money. I do it for the money to buy more tools to buy more wood. LOL
When we started this business, we knew making beautiful furnishings wouldn’t be enough by itself. We had to be different. But at the same time, fall into our preferred style of “Farmhouse” or “Rustic”. We are not limited to this style, but it’s warm, cozy feel does dominate our inventory.
I think we achieved our goal of being unique and beautiful. We believe our use of exotic hardwood mixes throughout many of our pieces (particularly our shelves) is, to our knowledge, totally unique. We believe our use of pieces of wood with deep knots and cracks, while not totally unique, does give us the opportunity to make a one of a kind piece.
I find so much natural beauty in wood. I love having the ability to capture that beauty and place it in every day items. Something that might otherwise go unnoticed can be the center of a conversation with a little craftsmanship and a lot of patience!
Whatever item you may buy, please know that a lot of time, thought, and effort went into it.
