We love making complex ideas easy to understand
They say what you don't know can't hurt you. I never understood that. I'm curious about all kinds of different things, and have always enjoyed knowing at least a little bit about a broad range of topics.
Whether I'm learning about business concepts, like what it means to be a value investor vs. a growth investor, or delving into some technical issue, like how a Coca-Cola bottling plant works, or just assembling bits of data about every episode of a favorite TV series like The Sopranos, it's all about the enjoyment of figuring things out.
I'm also an artist and had the ability to draw and create even as a kid. Because of my curious nature and my love for drawing, one of my favorite things to do was read books that explained things visually. I loved books that had cutaway drawings of old Spanish galleons or diagrams that explained how the ancient Roman aqueducts worked. I always thought it would be fantastic if I could produce these same kinds of illustrations because I'd get to learn about different subjects and also draw pictures all day. What could be more fun than that?
Fortunately, those childhood dreams became reality, and I've built a career on making complex ideas easy to understand. That's why I started Buzzmachine Studios. Our goal is to create products that are fun, visually compelling and that help people learn new information in an entertaining and enjoyable way.
