Hand made bow ties and accessories for the confident, well-dressed gentleman.

Born in rural Nigeria, there were no shops anywhere so if you couldn't grow it, make it or bring it with you, you did without it. The potential clothes problem was solved as my mother was a talented seamstress who taught me how to sew at an early age.
I maintained my sewing skills through college, my first career in international banking and my second career as a portrait photographer. After moving from England to Connecticut in 1990 I sharpened those skills up at the Parsons School in New York and reignited my love of fabrics and design.
When my family moved to Charlotte NC in 2002 I spent 3 years working in a couture design studio making wedding dresses, ball gowns, cocktail suits and tailored day wear. After my wonderful boss moved to Florida I was left without a professional sewing avenue until inspiration came from the unlikeliest of places: my then college-age son. About to spend too much money - that he didn't have - on a designer bow tie for a formal, I made him one instead. It was an instant success among his friends, and before I knew it I had orders for more - it was time to go public so I came to Etsy with a great hand made product and a lot of optimism!
Over approximately 12,000 bow ties later, CCADesign is going strong. I choose fabrics that reflect every personality and concentrate on making affordable gentlemen's accessories of impeccable quality. In addition to individual sales, I am a trusted resource for wedding parties and I love working with brides and grooms to add important style flourishes to their special day.
With an impressive selection of fabrics, I have become a go-to source of bow ties, pocket squares, cummerbunds and suspenders. I am not affiliated in any way with Lilly Pulitzer® and do not represent that I am selling Lilly Pulitzer® items.
I use cotton and cotton blend fabrics and avoid making accessories in designs which can be found everywhere else. My products start conversations and make the wearer both feel and look special - and a little piece of me goes into every order. Everyone deserves some luxury in their lives and my colorful hand made accessories provide it in an affordable way.

CUSTOM ORDERS & COMMUNICATION

ALL CUSTOM ORDERS (including ALL cummerbunds and suspenders) ARE FINAL SALE ONLY as stated in the relevant item listings.

WEDDING PARTY ORDERS: I am delighted to make custom orders for wedding parties. I am happy to provide up to 5 complimentary swatches and encourage you to request same before placing a custom order.

COMMUNICATIONS: In order for both parties to have a complete and accurate record of what we discuss, all communication is conducted in writing through the Etsy messages. I always respond promptly and fully to all inquiries in writing.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

ALL items are handmade. There may be small size discrepancies since I am human and not a machine :)

BOW TIES measure 2.25" - 2.5" vertically at their widest point, 4.5” from side to side when tied and fit collar sizes 14.5" - 19.5".
Non standard sizes are available on a custom basis - send me a message.

POCKET SQUARES are UNLINED (i.e. with a right side and a wrong side) and hemmed. They measure approx. 11" x 11".

SUSPENDERS are 1.25" wide, have elastic inserts at the back to ensure a good fit and CLIPS attach the suspenders to the wearer's pants.

CUMMERBUNDS are pleated, approx. 6" wide at their widest point and have adjustable elastic at the back (either black or white).

Boys' bow ties are pre-made faux bows on adjustable straps.

DISCOUNTS

I price all the items I make very competitively and offer exceptional quality and value. I do not give volume discounts as I make every order by hand and don’t save anything when filling an order for more than one item. Thank you for your understanding on this point.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

SHIPPING: Please note that I am not responsible for any loss or damage to your package once it is shipped and/or marked as "Delivered" by the USPS.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your shipping address - I ship quickly so please check your mailing details at the time you place your order.

INSURANCE: If you wish to purchase shipping insurance please contact me BEFORE completing your purchase and I will be happy to arrange it at a nominal extra cost.

RETURNS: To return an unworn bow tie in its original packaging, please return it to THE ADDRESS ON THE PACKING SLIP. All returns must be postmarked WITHIN 14 days OF DELIVERY. Returns 15-20 days after your item was postmarked will receive a store credit.

CUMMERBUNDS AND RUSH PROCESSING

Cummerbunds have a standard 7 business day processing time. I can, however, provide a 2 business day expedited service for a $35 rush fee using the link to the Rush Processing item available in the Cummerbunds section of my shop. Per the notice above under CUSTOM ORDERS, all cummerbunds and cummerbund sets are custom orders and are therefore non-returnable.

PACKAGING

All my products are attractively packaged in clear bags and tied with grosgrain ribbon. Gift cards are available upon request and if you want the gift to be a surprise I am happy to wrap your order in tissue paper before tying it with the grosgrain ribbon.

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY

Product images are for illustration purposes only so the item you buy in any given fabric design may differ in terms of color and/or motif placement from the actual product due to the scale and placement of said elements on the fabric I use.
Due to differences in computer monitors, colors of products may appear different from those shown in my shop.
The images in my shop are copyright protected and unauthorized use of those images is strictly prohibited.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Please be aware that shipping internationally carries certain irreducible risks. I have zero control over the performance of either the USPS or the local mail delivery in other countries and therefore cannot assume any responsibility for such delivery.

Customers are able to track orders using the tracking number provided at the time of notification of shipping. Due to changes the USPS made to international shipping, tracking numbers may take 2-3 days, or longer, to show up in the USPS system.

I reserve the right to cancel an order and provide a full refund if I believe that the risks of successful international shipping to any particular country, and for any reason, are unacceptably high.

EU BUYERS

Per EU regulations, please be advised that shipping costs of any returns are borne by the customer.
