If you are not familiar with Shungite stones or have never purchased before, Shungite is very unique and is a gemstone that has characteristics unlike any other stone. You may notice there being occasional some black dust transfer which is carbon and a common post-production occurrence as Shungite is typically 90% or more carbon. This can be removed easily. Shungite is also characteristic of containing pyrite and quartz veins that can be mistaken as being cracks or chips.
