Farm-Fresh Artist Alley Aesthetics

Though I've always been artsy, my experiences at shows like Otakon led me to pursue creating semi-professionally. True to my Artist Alley roots, much of my work is inspired by anime, video games, and nerd culture at large. However, I also spend a lot of time with nature, whether that's gardening on my farmette*, hiking in the woods or maintaining my ponds and aquariums (seriously, I love freshwater nano fish!)

When I started tabling at Artist Alleys more years ago than I'd like to admit, I sold primarily polymer clay sculptures. As Artist Alleys evolved, I branched out into other media including resin casting, soft sculpture, enamel pin design, laser cutting/etching and more. I love trying new ways to make art, so you'll find an eclectic product line up here at Conspicuous Designs. As I'm fond of saying, it keeps me out of trouble!

*From time to time, I'll also sell things produced on the farmette, like sunchoke tubers, frogbit, or aquarium snails!

Thanks for visiting my shop! I work out of a small studio in rural Maryland, surrounded by my pets (freshwater nano fish, a tripod cat and a golden retriever) and nerdy art I've collected over the years. Nature is my primary inspiration.
