Making unique greeting cards by hand, one at a time!
Welcome to Colleen Dietrich Designs! Here you'll find one-of-a-kind, handcrafted greeting cards for a variety of occasions. Each one is a labor of love, using a variety of techniques, mediums and supplies. It takes me about an hour to make each one.
Rarely do I have a design in mind before sitting down to create. Sounds a little crazy, but I let the card 'speak' to me, and then an idea develops along the way. Some of my cards have a shabby chic/vintage vibe, while others are more clean-and-simple.
I delight in tiny details. If you look closely at my cards, you'll see the care that goes into each one. From the colors chosen, to the careful placement of each design element, I fuss over the littlest things. Some cards feature items with patina, such as thread from the 1940-1950 era, or pages from vintage books that I found in a thrift shop, or old buttons passed down by a relative.
In a society where emails, texts and tweets rule, receiving a handmade card is very special, indeed. Each of my cards is made to delight the person who receives it. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my shop. It truly means a lot to me!
