The CEO Mind and Doctor Method Etsy Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1st June 2026
Last reviewed: 1st June 2026
The CEO Mind and Doctor Method Ltd respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you buy from, contact, or interact with our Etsy shop.
The CEO Mind and Doctor Method Ltd sells psychology-led digital self-help and psychoeducational workbooks. Our products may relate to topics such as anxiety, health anxiety, burnout, binge eating, body image, bulimia, chronic pain, depression, exercise and wellbeing, OCD, sleep and insomnia, ADHD, trauma, stress, food and wellbeing, and related areas of mental health and wellbeing. Because some of our products are mental-health-specific, we recognise that a purchase may indirectly suggest something about a person’s wellbeing, mental health, or personal circumstances. We therefore handle customer information carefully and aim to collect, access and retain as little personal information as possible.
1. Who we are
The data controller for this Etsy shop is The CEO Mind and Doctor Method Ltd, Elsynge House, Forty Hill, London, EN2 9EU, United Kingdom.
For privacy or data protection enquiries, please contact us at compliance@ceomindanddoctormethod.com.
The CEO Mind and Doctor Method Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
2. Information we receive through Etsy
When you buy from our Etsy shop, Etsy may provide us with limited information needed to manage your order. This may include your name, Etsy username, email address, order details, purchase history with our shop, messages you send through Etsy, payment confirmation information, refund or dispute information, and any other information you choose to provide when communicating with us.
Because we sell digital self-help products connected to mental health and wellbeing, the title or nature of a product you buy may suggest something about your interests, needs, wellbeing, or personal circumstances. We treat this information with care.
We do not routinely download or export customer data from Etsy. We keep customer information within Etsy unless we need to process it separately for a specific reason, such as legal compliance, accounting, a refund, a dispute, an insurance issue, or another legitimate business need.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information received through Etsy to process and fulfil your order, provide access to digital products, respond to order-related or technical queries, manage refunds or disputes, keep appropriate business and accounting records, meet legal, tax, regulatory and insurance obligations, and protect our business, products and customers.
We do not use Etsy customer information to provide individual psychological advice, diagnosis, therapy, treatment planning, risk assessment or crisis support. Purchasing or using one of our products does not create a psychologist-client relationship.
4. Mental health and wellbeing information
Some of our Etsy products relate to mental health, wellbeing, body image, eating difficulties, pain, sleep, stress, trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD and related areas. This means that your purchase or any message you send to us may include or imply information about your wellbeing or personal circumstances.
We ask that you do not send sensitive clinical information through Etsy messages unless it is necessary for your order-related enquiry. We are not able to provide individual psychological guidance, crisis support, therapy, diagnosis or treatment recommendations through Etsy.
If you are experiencing serious distress, risk of harm, or symptoms that feel unmanageable, please seek appropriate professional support from a qualified professional, your GP, local emergency services, or a crisis support service in your country.
5. Our lawful bases for using your information
We process your personal information where it is necessary to fulfil a contract with you, for example when you buy a digital product and we need to make that product available to you.
We may also process personal information where we have a legal obligation, for example in relation to tax, accounting, regulatory or compliance requirements.
In some circumstances, we may process personal information because we have a legitimate interest, such as managing customer service, dealing with refunds or disputes, protecting our business, maintaining appropriate records, or responding to legal, insurance or platform-related issues.
Where information may relate to health, mental health or wellbeing, we handle it with additional care and only process it where there is a clear and appropriate reason to do so.
6. Marketing
We do not add Etsy customers to a mailing list simply because they have bought a product from us.
We do not currently operate a newsletter or mailing list, and we do not use Etsy customer purchase information to send marketing emails about mental health, wellbeing or related products.
If we introduce marketing emails in the future, we will only send them where there is a clear lawful basis and where you have been given appropriate information and choice.
7. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share or access personal information where necessary through Etsy and its connected services. Etsy processes personal information under its own privacy policy and is responsible for its own use of customer information as a platform.
We may also share limited information with professional advisers, insurers, accountants, bookkeepers, legal advisers, regulators, payment processors or other service providers where this is necessary for legal, accounting, dispute, insurance, regulatory or business purposes.
Our accountant or bookkeeper may receive sales reports for accounting and tax purposes, but they do not routinely receive customer-level personal information.
8. Access to information
Access to our Etsy shop and related business systems is limited to the two company directors. We do not currently have a marketing contractor with access to Etsy order data, customer messages or enquiry information.
9. How long we keep your information
Most customer information connected to Etsy orders is held within Etsy and managed through Etsy’s platform systems.
We do not routinely download or export Etsy customer data. Where we do retain separate records, we only do so where needed for legal, accounting, tax, refund, dispute, insurance, regulatory or legitimate business reasons. We do not keep separate copies of customer information indefinitely unless there is a clear reason to do so.
10. International customers
We sell products worldwide through Etsy. Depending on where you live and how Etsy processes your order, your personal information may be processed or stored outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.
Where we process personal information internationally, we aim to use reputable platforms and service providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights in relation to your personal information. These may include the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct inaccurate information, ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances, ask us to restrict how we use your information, object to certain types of processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and complain to a data protection regulator.
To make a privacy request, please contact compliance@ceomindanddoctormethod.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request.
You may also be able to manage some of your personal information directly through your Etsy account.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You can contact us at compliance@ceomindanddoctormethod.com.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or to the relevant data protection authority in your country.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Etsy Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we change how we use Etsy, introduce a newsletter, change our platforms, add new products, or change how we process personal information.
