CJ's Inspirations
I began creating jewelry for a fundraiser at my school in 2011. I found it to be such a fun outlet for my creative side. As our public education budget was cut again for teachers and students, I found I needed a second job to support my sons.
I fell in love with the idea of creating jewelry from my inspirations, especially lanyards. I love the variations of colors and patterns that I visualize when I see them among nature, in dreams, or from a vision in a book I have read. Sometimes I just see the patterns come together from the building of a single bead that strikes my attention. I have a vast range of selection for this reason.
I'm a teacher who must have an ID on at all times, as well as keys, a whistle, and pens. So, I make my lanyards strong enough to do so without breaking. I have noticed the importance of needing lanyards that are durable, function well with many items, and look great with professional work attire. I make them with small seed beads and a balance of focal beads so they are light weight enough for daily wear. I also now need readers to see at work, so I make matching eyeglass lanyards to match my ID lanyard. My students love that I match my lanyards to my outfit and frequently comment on how pretty they are.
Custom orders are welcome if you have a school theme, mascot, or color palette in mind. I look forward to creating something for you.
